About the TTP-244 Pro
The TTP-244 Pro is one of the longest-serving barcode printers in the Indian market and still widely deployed. It takes 110mm x 300m on a 1-inch core. Its age is the relevant fact for ribbon choice: printheads on units running for years are often partially worn, and a harder resin ribbon on a tired printhead exposes failed elements as vertical white lines. On older TTP-244s a premium wax such as CW-12 frequently prints better than a resin.

Ribbon specification
110mm × 300m is the standard size for this model. Because we slit in-house you are not restricted to it: you can order a narrower width that is still a few millimetres wider than your label, so less ribbon overhangs and goes to waste.

Loading ribbon in a TSC printer
TSC desktops (TE, TC, TX, TTP-244 Pro, TTP-247, TTP-345) take outside-wound ribbon (ink side out); the industrial MH, ML, MB, MX and TTP-2410M models accept both. Core size: ½ inch for the TC series; 1 inch for the TTP-244 Pro, TTP-247, TTP-345, TX and all industrial models; the TE series takes either (300m on 1 inch, or 110m on ½ inch).

What ribbon size does the TSC TTP-244 Pro use?+
110mm × 300m on a 1" core, outside wound (ink side out). At 300m a roll covers roughly 3,000 labels at 100mm pitch. We slit 25mm – 160mm, so a non-standard width for your label is not a problem.
Is the TTP-244 Pro inside or outside wound?+
Outside wound — the ink side faces out. Load an inside-wound roll instead and the ink faces away from the label, so the label comes out blank; that reads as a printer fault but is a winding problem.
Which ribbon grade should I use in a TTP-244 Pro?+
Grade follows the label, not the printer. Desktop units like the TTP-244 Pro are most often paired with paper stock, where wax (CW-11 or CW-12) is the right grade. Move to wax-resin only if the label is coated or synthetic.
