A TTR (thermal transfer ribbon) is the ink ribbon a barcode printer heats to print onto a label. The label sets the grade: wax (CW-11, CW-12) for paper, wax-resin (CW-15, CW-20) for handled coated paper, CW-22 or CW-25 for polyester and polypropylene, and resin CW-28 where labels face chemicals or solvents. CW-60 is for garment care labels.

Made at our DPCC-approved Delhi factory
Every CW-series ribbon is slit to size at our own factory at A-16, First Floor, Phase 3, Badli Industrial Area, New Delhi 110042. The factory operates with DPCC approval, the Delhi Pollution Control Committee's consent to operate under the Air and Water Acts. Because we slit in-house, we cut custom widths from 25mm to 160mm and lengths from 50m to 600m, on ½-inch or 1-inch cores, wound inside or outside. No minimum order on standard sizes. What is a TTR ribbon?+

How many ribbon grades does Codewell make?+

Which ribbon grade is right for paper labels?+

Which grade is right for polyester and polypropylene labels?+
Wax-resin CW-22 or CW-25 for everyday durability; resin CW-28 where the label faces chemicals or solvents. CW-33 suits PET and polyimide labels that need maximum resistance.
Which grade suits cold storage or chemical labels?+
Wax-resin CW-25 or CW-30 for cold-chain and freezer labels (CW-30 is rated −40°C to +80°C); resin CW-28 or CW-33 for chemical drums and solvents.
Which ribbon prints on garment care labels?+
CW-60, made for nylon satin, polyester satin, taffeta and woven fabric labels, and rated for 60+ wash cycles.
